When booking a course, a contract is made when the booking is confirmed in writing by Gower Surf Academy Limited. A deposit is payable at the time of booking. The person signing the booking form accepts responsibility for payment for everyone listed on the booking and is responsible for ensuring that all other persons listed on the booking form read the Terms and Conditions below and that they are aware of the booking details. All participants must complete the attached declaration before they will be allowed to take part in any surf lessons. Gower Surf Academy Limited do not accept any liability for any loss caused by failure to complete the declaration.

Balance payment

The balance is due four weeks before the course start date. If the booking is made less than four weeks before departure, the full balance must be paid at the time of booking. Final reminders will not be sent.

Changing your booking

Gower Surf Academy Limited will make every effort to arrange any changes requested after the booking has been confirmed, providing it is more than 7 days before the course start date. After this time no changes can be made. Any changes are subject to availability of course places.

Course participation, liability and other very important information

The activity of surfing carries with it a degree of risk both to people and property, even if enjoyed under proper supervision by qualified instructors. It is also a strenuous activity that requires those taking part to have a reasonable standard of swimming and fitness. All course members must therefore make us aware of any medical conditions , illnesses or allergies they may have and any prescribed medication they are taking on the booking form at the time of booking. No-one should participate if they have a medical condition such as for example being pregnant. It is down to the participant with a medical condition to check with his or hers Doctor to find out if surfing/surf fitness is within the customers physical and or mental parameters.

All course members must be able to swim at least 50 metres and must in no circumstances be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication at the time of the lesson which may adversely affect their physical abilities.

All course members must agree to abide to all instructions and decisions that Gower Surf Academy Limited and its instructors make in order to secure the safety and comfort of all participants. Course members will have the use of Gower Surf Academy Limited equipment during their lessons. Whereas Gower Surf Academy Limited takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and good condition of that equipment, course members are responsible for immediately reporting any damage caused to the equipment or which becomes apparent whilst the equipment is in their possession. Gower Surf Academy Limited does not seek to limit or exclude any liability for personal injury or loss of life which may occur as a result of its own negligence or that of its employees, officers or agents however, Gower Surf Academy Limited assumes no liability in respect of any personal injury, loss, damage, consequential loss or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own, its employees, officers or agents. All other liability or conditions implied by law are excluded to the fullest extent possible.

Surf conditions

In the rare event that Gower Surf Academy Limited considers sea/weather conditions to be unsuitable for surf instruction and or the Beach lifeguard service raise the red flag, a credit voucher will be issued. Credit for any lessons owed can be used within one year from the date of the cancelled lesson. Any lessons owed must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. No refunds are issued.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be sent in writing via email to [email protected] and will be effective on the date which they are received by Gower Surf Academy Limited. We will do our utmost to help you re-schedule your surf course/booking. If you still need to cancel then you are entitled to cancel up to 7 days following the date of commitment (“Booking Date”) or otherwise in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 (the “Regulations”).

Accommodation

Gower Surf Academy Limited guide to places to stay is intended only as a guide to assist booking accommodation. Gower Surf Academy Limited accepts no responsibility for booking any accommodation and cannot be held responsible for any aspect of or problems arising from course members’ accommodation arrangements.

Brochure and website accuracy

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of Gower Surf Academy Limited brochure and website it is intended only as a guide to the services it provides and Gower Surf Academy Limited is relieved of any liability due to any errors or omissions it may contain, or any minor discrepancies between the brochure or website’s content and that service. Prices

The prices printed on this website/form are valid at the time of publication. Gower Surf Academy Limited reserves the right to increase or reduce any of these prices any time after publication. Any changes will be made clear at the time of booking.

Making a purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery schedule

We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 7 business days. International orders are generally received in under 28 days.

Back orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges All orders are VAT included.

Credit card security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
